Catchment dam project
Funding has been provided under the BIODIVERSITY ACTION PLAN to fence a catchment dam at Brian Barrys' property at Cocamba.
Rabbit Ripping in 2009
Manangatang Landcare group has secured $25,000 from the state SECOND GENERATION LANDCARE GRANTS, for undertaking road side rabbit ripping in 2009.
On going Cactus control in 2009
Manangatang Landcare group has been tackling the cactus problem within the Manangatang district for the past 5 years and will again be focusing on exterminating as many plants as possible, through the use of the MEEP crews in 2009.
Boxthorn Project to be tackled in 2009
The MEEP crews working in the Manangatang area are set to tackle to growing boxthorn problem in 2009.
Remnant Project
Keith and Leslie dawes have protected a 300ha remnant consisting of areas of Mallee, Pine ridges open grassland and a salt flat. There is also a large range of wildlife present.
